Across Francesca Marcenaro’s practice, jewellery is conceived as a relationship between material, maker, body and wearer. Each piece begins with the way metal, stone or glass responds to light, touch and movement.
Collectable Pieces brings together one-of-a-kind and limited works shaped through hand-carved stone, ebony, precious metals and Glass Granulation. Each explores Material in Motion through its own balance of surface, curve, weight, reflection and movement.
Where present, Glass Granulation is integrated into the structure of the work rather than applied as decoration: its relief and rounded surfaces gather and release light as the body moves. Like the wider practice, these pieces are conceived as small sculptures for the body—made to be worn, lived with and kept.
