Care Instructions for Ebony jewellery

Although treated wood can withstand occasional contact with water, prolonged exposure to moisture can cause damage. Store your jewellery in a dry place to preserve its integrity.

Wood is durable, yet it can still be marked by harder or sharper materials. Keep each piece separate, ideally in a soft pouch or lined box.

Perfumes, hairsprays, creams, and other products may alter the surface or colour of the wood. It is best to wear your jewellery after applying cosmetics.

Use a soft microfibre or cotton cloth to remove dust and natural oils. Wipe delicately, following the grain where visible.

To revive the natural lustre, apply a small amount of beeswax and buff gently.

 

 

Caring for pieces with Glass Granulation

“Glass Granulation” is unique to Francesca Marcenaro and has its special care guides to ensure long life for your Pieces.

Keep your jewellery with “Glass Granulation” away from chemicals, strong light sources, prolonged submersion in water and extreme changes in temperature. This will keep the granules from separating.

Loosing a few granules is quite normal, but if you notice a big change in the surface of your Piece, just contact us and we will check it.
