Gold and Whitby Jet Earrings

Made to order — price confirmed on enquiry, based on the current market price of gold.

Each earring centres on a polished teardrop-shaped element of Whitby jet. An irregular accumulation of fine gold and glass granules gathers around its upper edge and gradually disperses across the deep black surface, creating a rich contrast between smooth polish and tactile texture.

The jet drops are suspended from sweeping gold structures that form elongated, sinuous lines. Their open construction gives the earrings visual movement and presence while preserving a sense of balance and lightness.

Handcrafted by Francesca Marcenaro, the earrings reflect her exploration of organic forms, contrasting surfaces and the relationship between precious materials and movement.

This Piece  can  be cast in Fairtrade metals, or in a Client’s own gold and/or stones.
