The Stars in the Dark of the Night ring is shaped as a rounded, self-contained volume. Its asymmetrical dome follows the natural depth of the ebony, allowing the material’s smooth surface and tactile presence to define the form.
A curved recessed section crosses the ring, where black diamonds interrupt the opacity of the wood with a restrained, irregular rhythm.
As the hand moves, the piece shifts from a solid silhouette to a field of concentrated reflections. This changing relationship between volume, touch and light brings the ring into Material in Motion.
