These cufflinks bring together polished Whitby jet and gold in a compact sculptural composition. Fine gold and glass granules gather irregularly across the black surface, creating a rich contrast of colour, texture and reflected light.
The fluid loop fastenings are conceived as part of the piece rather than simply as a functional element. Their soft curves balance the rounded jet forms and give the cufflinks a distinctive presence from every angle.
Handcrafted by Francesca Marcenaro, the pair reflects her exploration of organic form, tactile surfaces and contrasts between precious materials.
This Piece can be cast in Fairtrade metals, or in a Client’s own gold and/or stones.
