“Wings” large earrings

These statement clip-on earrings feature a refined hinged fitting, designed for both comfort and presence.

Hand-carved from ebony and framed in silver, each piece is completed with Francesca Marcenaro’s distinctive Glass Granulation: a densely worked surface of fused glass granules, laid one by one by hand. In this iteration, the technique is further developed through the inclusion of minute, flat fragments of coloured, reflective glass, subtly embedded within the granulated field.

As light shifts, the surface responds in kind—moving from a muted, velvety depth to brief, brilliant flashes that animate the dark wood beneath. Every incision and every granule is deliberately placed, forming a tactile landscape that invites close inspection as much as touch.

Entirely unique in composition and optical effect, these earrings cannot be reproduced, standing as a singular expression of contemporary craftsmanship.
