Doing her new research on Titanium, Francesca has been fascinated by the colours that this metal can reach with anodisation and she made a “Capsule Collection” inspired by her passions.
Inspired by Nature and her love for the Sea, Francesca made the “Blue Ocean” pieces: the oval shapes remind shells, sometimes the surface of the pieces has been hammered to reach the effect of underwater reflections, the use of Glass Granulation enhances their tridimensionality and gives even more life to the colours; cabochon semi-precious stones play the role of little jelly fishes floating in the water…
Also the “Dream Islands” pieces are inspired by the Sea. An imaginary sea with golden islands, rich and sunny, to escape from everyday life and immerse yourself in a fantastic world made of beauty, serenity and joy. A charming combination of techniques such Damascete, Egg Shell Mosaic and Glass Granulation.
Francesca’s passion for art, fabric and silk in particular is evident in “The Silk Road” pieces: a visit to the V&A Museum exhibition“Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk” inspired her to challenge titanium with her skills and techniques to give life to these pieces.Charming silky reflections, engraving that looks like embroidery, pearls, cabochon blue topazes and peridots, marcasite and Glass Granulation are the elements of these charming, unusual pieces.
