The values behind my work: passion, nature, beauty—and the joy of making

As Jewellery Designer the question is always  “What is it about?”
…and the answer is: it’s about a way of living, noticing and making.

Behind every piece I design—and every consultation I offer—there are the same values because hey shape my aesthetic, my process, and the way I work with people.

Here are the Values that guide me.

Passion: the energy that starts everything

Passion is not loud for me. It’s steady. It’s the commitment to show up even when the results are not immediate. Passion is what kept me at the bench for years, refining, failing, improving, learning, and trying again.

Passion also means taking things seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. I cannot be ambitious without being  playful at the same time:-)

Nature: my first and most loyal teacher

Nature is my reference point first of all for texture, then for movement, elegance and proportion. I’m drawn to surfaces that catch the light, irregularities that feel alive, organic forms, and small details .

Beauty: not decoration, but meaning

With my Italian background Beauty is about presence. It’s about creating something that makes you pause, something that feels considered, honest, and quietly powerful.

I love pieces that carry a sense of tenderness, but also strength—jewellery that becomes part of your identity rather than an accessory you forget.

Freedom: space to be yourself

Freedom is a value that must be in two places:

• In design: allowing forms to be unconventional, letting an idea evolve, not forcing a piece to fit a trend.

• In life: helping people feel more themselves—whether they’re wearing jewellery or building a creative practice.

Freedom is also the permission we give ourselves to change, refine, and grow without the fear of judgement (quite a demanding practice!)

Experimentation: where craft becomes discovery

Experimentation is my way of staying awake in my practice. I love the moment when a technique surprises you—when something small shifts and suddenly a new surface, a new sparkle, a new effect appears.

Experimentation requires courage, patience, and a willingness to learn from mistakes. It also requires structure: a method, tests, notes, repetitions. Which brings me to…

Accuracy, research, and attention to detail: the invisible foundation

There is a romantic image of creativity that ignores discipline. But in my experience, the most poetic work is built on precision.

Accuracy is:

• consistent craftsmanship

• clear measurements and refined finishing

• careful setting, polishing, and assembly

• respect for materials and time

Research is:

• studying references (historical, technical, aesthetic)

• testing options before deciding

• understanding what works—and why

Attention to detail is:

• the tiny choices that elevate the entire piece

• the difference between “nice” and “memorable”

This is where jewellery becomes truly wearable, durable, and trusted. And where it is recognised as art and not just a nice “ensemble” of precious stones and metals.

Fairy tales, fun, and bubbles: the lightness that makes it human

Some of my inspiration is serious: nature, history, technique.
But some of it is pure joy.

I love fairy tales because they give us permission to dream. I love fun because it keeps the work alive. And yes—I love bubbles. That sense of lightness, sparkle, and fleeting magic.

Bubbles don’t last long. That’s why they matter: they remind us to notice the moment and in my jewellery I try to capture that feeling—soft sparkles, playful texture, a little wonder.

Attention to customers: because care is part of the craft

For me, the customer experience is not separate from the artwork. It is part of the work.

Care looks like:

• listening properly (what you want, what you need, what you’re unsure about)

• transparent communication and realistic timelines

• thoughtful packaging and presentation

• guidance, not pressure

• respect for your budget and expectations

• being available and accountable

Whether I’m creating a piece for a private client or supporting a creative professional through consulting, my goal is the same: make the process feel clear, respectful, and genuinely supportive.
